Skills Shift delivers bespoke management training programmes, created to address the needs of our customers. All of our programmes are based on our proven three-step approach of developing the manager, developing others and developing the business.

Developing yourself

We start by developing the managers within the business – they are the ones who can, when properly equipped and focused, drive real change and improved performance right across an organisation. Our training is always tailored around the specific skills that managers either lack, or need enhancing. We work with customers to understand managers’ skill levels, and any previous training, so that people only learn what they need.

Developing others

We then help managers to unlock the potential of their teams – helping them to set goals and to accelerate progress, through coaching. This step is essential for people to be better managers of others, not just of business processes, and for them to shape the skills of the business – so that people can work together far more effectively. Unlike generic management training, which expects skills to ‘trickle down’, Skills Shift places great emphasis on managers empowering others to succeed, through the performance coaching skills learned as part of our programme.

Developing the business

No training should be without purpose, and our management training is directed towards delivering change, or performance-improvement, for the business. We work with customers to understand the goals of the business, and give managers the skills needed to directly support those goals – including the skills needed to coach their teams, whether those teams are office-based or remote. Our aim is to help customers build a self-sufficient, resilient workforce that both responds better to change and is more able to create sustained success.
